How to Obtain a European Health Card

To obtain a European Health Card, you will need a valid digital signature installed on the computer you are using for the following steps. 

1. Visit https://tramites.seg-social.es/

2. Click on 'Accede a Tu Seguridad Social'.

3. Select 'Interesado'.

4. You will be asked to select how would you like to access your data. There are four options:

   • If you have a valid digital signature on the computer you are using, choose the last option: 'DNIe o certificado'.

5. After the validation process, you will see a page where you can view a simulation of your retirement plan and a few other options. When you scroll down, you will be able to apply for your 'Tarjeta Sanitaria Europea' (if you are entitled to have one).

6. Correct your postal address if needed and request the card.

7. The card should arrive within a few days.
